Pelham Baseball Team Wins Pennsylvania Tournament

PELHAM, N.Y. – Pelham won the 11-under division Neshaminy Wildcats Summer Classic baseball tournament Sunday in Neshaminy, Pa.

The tournament was supposed to begin Saturday, but rain washed out all competition that day. Pelham played a condensed schedule Sunday as a result.

Pelham beat the Horshman Eagles from Horshman, Pa. by a score of 13-0 and then beat the Roxborough Rebels, 5-2, to earn a bye into the championship game. Pelham won the tournament with a 5-0 victory versus the Rebels.

“The boys couldn't have played better,” said Pelham coach Dave Milanese via email. “Our pitchers threw strikes and our defense made all the plays. We tell the boys that is what Pelham baseball is all about. We when do those two things we are tough to beat.”
