Pelham will celebrate the life and remember former longtime Board of Education Pat Troutman, who passed away at 86-years-old on Monday, Jan. 11.
Born in 1930 in New York City, Troutman graduated from Mount St. Vincent College in 1952, and would marry her late husband of 61-years, Cortland Troutman just three years later.
A prominent figure in the community, Troutman was an actively involved member of the Pelham Board of Education, was involved in the creation of the Pelham Children’s Center and was an advocate of the Bartow Pell Conservancy.
Trout man is survived by her brother John, her son Curt, her daughter Gretchen and two grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of Pat’s life held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15 at the Pelham Funeral House at 64. Lincoln Ave. There will be a funeral mass at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16 at St. Catharine’s Catholic Church at 25 Second Ave. in Pelham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bartow-Pell Conservancy.
