Two Pelham Manor Homes Burglarized

PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. – Two Pelham Manor homes were struck by burglars between Saturday and Monday, and police say the incidents had some similarities.

In both cases, computers left near doors or windows were taken after the thief or thieves pushed in or cut screens to gain entry.

A woman on Witherbee Avenue told police Monday that someone had stolen her $900 Apple iPad and a $175 Amazon Kindle between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. According to the police report, she said the items were on a chair next to her kitchen table, and someone had apparently entered through a screened window, which had been damaged.

Also Monday, a Highbrook Avenue woman told police someone had stolen her $1,500 Apple computer from a sunroom. A window screen had been pushed in, allowing the thief to reach in and take the computer, the police report said.
