Pelham Resident's Car Broken Into on First Avenue

PELHAM, N.Y. – A spa gift certificate was stolen from a car parked on First Avenue in Pelham sometime between 9 p.m. Friday and 7:50 a.m. Saturday, police said.

The victim said someone took loose change and a $200 Nicholas Day Spa gift certificate. The suspect also moved around items while searching the car, including a gum container and set of keys, which were collected for DNA testing, police said. The responding officer called Nicholas Day Spa and advised the manager to flag the stolen gift certificate and notify Pelham police if there was an attempt to use it. A Pelham detective was notified and will follow up on the case.
