PELHAM, N.Y. A spa gift certificate was stolen from a car parked on First Avenue in Pelham sometime between 9 p.m. Friday and 7:50 a.m. Saturday, police said.
The victim said someone took loose change and a $200 Nicholas Day Spa gift certificate. The suspect also moved around items while searching the car, including a gum container and set of keys, which were collected for DNA testing, police said. The responding officer called Nicholas Day Spa and advised the manager to flag the stolen gift certificate and notify Pelham police if there was an attempt to use it. A Pelham detective was notified and will follow up on the case.

Noise complaint: A resident called the Pelham Police Department at 1:33 a.m. Saturday because there were two loud individuals at Wolfs Lane and Franklin Place. Police were sent to the scene, interviewed the two boys, and sent them on their way.
Dog complaint: A dog was left in a car at 5:03 p.m. Saturday at First Street and Nyac Avenue, which prompted a call to the Pelham Police Department. However, the responding officer checked all the cars and did not notice a dog.
Criminal impersonation: A River Avenue resident called the Pelham Police Department at 2:02 p.m. Thursday after receiving two calls from a man saying he was his sons lawyer. The caller said he needed $1,600 wired to get the victims son out of a Peruvian jail. The victim called his son, who was at work in New York City, and then called the Pelham Police Department. The responding officer tried to check for a phone number, but the home phone did not have caller ID.
