PELHAM, N.Y. A woman left her $30 purse with $100 inside while shopping at DeCiccos at 4:49 p.m. Saturday. The Mount Vernon resident went to Pelham Police Headquarters once she realized what happened.
A Pelham officer asked the manager of DeCiccos if he had seen the purse and he said no. The complainant wanted the situation documented.

Suspicious person: The Pelham Police Department was called by a Pelhamdale Avenue resident Saturday at 2:02 a.m. because there was a man attempting to enter that persons property, police said. The complainant could only tell police that it was a male and had no description of him. Police were told by the woman that the person was at the apron of the driveway and attempting to go further. A sergeant and two officers were sent and they canvassed the area. They reported that no property appeared to be damaged and that the party was gone on arrival.
Stolen property: A Fifth Avenue resident went to Pelham Police Headquarters Saturday at 10:30 p.m. after realizing she might have been given a stolen Kindle, which is valued at $300. Her boyfriend bought the Kindle from an unknown person and gave it to the woman as a gift, she told police. She attempted to register the product with Amazon.com and was told that the item was reported lost or stolen. The woman told police she wanted to surrender the item in fear it may be stolen and requested it be returned to the proper owner. No suspect information could be provided and a follow-up was to be conducted by the detective division.
Reckless drivers: Two motorcyclists were driving recklessly at 6:15 p.m. Thursday in front of an Eighth Avenue residence, which prompted a call to the Pelham Police Department. The two men were driving at a high rate of speed, the resident told police. Units were dispatched to the scene and reported that the motorcycles were gone on arrival.
