Items Stolen From Three Unlocked Cars in Pelham Manor

PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. – Two Pelham residents living on Timpson Street reported items stolen from their vehicles between Sunday at 8 p.m. and Monday at 8 a.m., the Pelham Manor Police Department said.

Police were alerted to the first incident on Timpson Street on Monday at 9:16 a.m. when the car owner went to police headquarters and told officers he had left his vehicles unlocked and noticed that $20, plus two packs of cigarettes costing $15, were missing from the vehicles, police said. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time the police report was written. Police learned of the other incident at 10:40 a.m. Monday, aftger the earlier victim called a neighbor to ask if “she had also been victimized,” police said. The woman checked her vehicle and told police that property was missing from an  unlocked car in her driveway. The missing items were not listed in the police report.

A similar incident occurred at Lawrence Place between Monday at 12:01 a.m. and 2 a.m. when a person reported $5 in quarters stolen from her car. The victim called police and they went to the scene, where she told them her car doors were left unlocked.

The Pelham Manor Police Department also reported:

Unruly group: The Pelham Manor Police Department received a call Sunday at 12:56 a.m. from a Fairway Market employee because of “an unruly group in the front parking area,” police said. Officers were dispatched and settled the matter.

Noise complaint: A group of kids were “making a lot of noise” at the corner of Esplanade and Boston Post Road, which prompted a resident to call the Pelham Manor Police Department Friday at 9:31 p.m. The reporting officers said that the area was soon clear and all was in order.
