Early Morning Shooting Leaves Victim Hospitalized In Mount Vernon
Authorities in Mount Vernon are investigating a shooting that left one person injured early Tuesday, Feb. 4. According to the Mount Vernon Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired around 3 a.m. at 129 South 4th Ave. Upon arrival, they discovered a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the right forearm. The victim was transported to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries. Detectives are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities are searching for a driver who hit a victim in Westchester and drove off, causing injuries. The crash happened on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at around 3 p.m., when a light gray SUV hit a person walking in the area of Riverdale Avenue and Pier Street in Yonkers, according to Yonkers Police Sgt. A 45-year-old teacher from Amherst, NY (Erie County) has been arrested for sex crimes stemming from Virginia, authorities said. Geoffrey J. Testa was arrested on a warrant for multiple felony child exploitation charges out of Fairfax, VA on Friday, Jan. 31, the New York State Police said. Man Struck By Car In Westchester, Hospitalized
A man was taken to a hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Westchester. The crash happened on Friday, Jan. 31 at around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Yonkers Avenue and Central Park Avenue in Yonkers, when an elderly man crossing the street was hit by a car after the driver failed to see him, according to Yonkers Police Sgt.
