Dominick Serraro, 93, Of Pelham, WWII Veteran

PELHAM, N.Y. - Dominick Serraro of Pelham died Friday, July 5. He was 93.

Serraro was born Nov. 16, 1919, in Mt. Vernon, to Angela Marie Poda and Francesco Serraro. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and earned a bronze star. He was an employee of Royal Service Laundry, Globe Vending, and Larchmont Limousine Service.

Serraro is survived by his children, Geraldine, Barbara, Frank Serraro (Meg), and David Serraro (Betty Lou); eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; many cousins; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan; sister, Mary; and brothers, Carmine, Joe, and Pat.

Calling hours are Monday, July 8 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Pelham Funeral Home, Pelham. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9 at St. Catharine's Church, 25 Second Ave., Pelham. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle.
