PELHAM, N.Y. Indira Balkaran has not enjoyed the fluctuating temperatures in Pelham in recent days.
Balkaran suffers from asthma and said the constant change between hot and cold weather negatively affects her health. She joked Wednesday about returning to a warmer climate.
Im from Trinidad. I want to go back, Balkaran said with a laugh. Balkaran works in Pelham and said she spends 90 percent of her time there.
Temperatures were in the 60s on Tuesday and Monday was also warm. But temperatures dropped into the low 50s on Wednesday. This is the weather that makes people get sick, Balkaran said.
The high temperatures in Pelham will be in the low 50s on Thursday and Friday with lows in the mid-30s, according to the National Weather Service. Saturday will be slightly cooler with a high near 46 degrees and a low near 34 degrees. High temperatures on Sunday will be near 53 degrees with a low near 43 degrees.
Skies will be mostly clear and sunny until Sunday with mostly cloudy skies on Wednesday night and Sunday night.
