Pelham Police Respond to Two Harassment Calls

PELHAM, N.Y. – Pelham police dealt with two harassment cases last week, one of which has been ongoing since June.

Police responded to a call Thursday at 4:56 p.m. from a girl who has been harassed since school ended in June, according to the police report. The suspect had sent messages to her and posted inappropriate comments about her on Facebook.

The suspect started by making fun of the girl's weight and her home and later posted messages that the girl felt were threatening. The suspect also has come to her house looking for her, according to the police report.

The girl told police that she did not want to press charges and only wanted the harassment to stop.

Pelham police dealt with another harassment case earlier in the week. Officers responded to a call about aggravated harassment via cell phone on Sunday, Aug. 14, at 12:45 p.m.

A woman received multiple threatening phone calls from an unknown caller with a female voice since Friday, Aug. 12, at 7:19 p.m. The caller cursed at the woman and said, "I'm going to get you" and "I know where you live," according to the police report.

The woman began to fear for her safety and contacted her cell phone company, which told her to file a police report. The woman had recordings of the calls, and the detective division planned to follow up on the case, according to the police report.
