Pelham Police Help Three People with Health Issues

PELHAM, N.Y. – Pelham police helped three separate people with health issues Tuesday and Wednesday.

Police said a man was having trouble breathing shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday. Officers used a nebulizer to help him breathe and medical personnel soon transported him to the emergency room at Sound Shore Medical Center for evaluation.

Police responded to Pelham Memorial High School at approximately 1 p.m. Wednesday to help a student who was also having trouble breathing. The school nurse told police that the child has a history of asthma and was going through an attack.

Police administered oxygen until an ambulance took the student to Sound Shore Medical Center.

At 7:50 p.m. Wednesday night, police helped a woman who, when the officer entered the building, frantically said, “Officer, I think I’m having a heart attack,” according to the police report. Police gave her oxygen and an ambulance took her to the emergency room at Sound Shore Medical Center for evaluation.
