PELHAM, N.Y. Less than one week after a GPS was stolen from a car on Second Street, police were notified of another taken from an unlocked car parked in a Second Avenue driveway.
The Second Avenue resident told police he noticed his Garmin Nuvi 260, worth $150, missing at 11 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Police officers said the GPS must have been taken around 1:16 p.m. The car had been unlocked in the driveway.
Neighbors said they saw a suspicious person in the driveway next to the victims home, but he ran off with two others in a car.
The following items were also reported by police:
-Pelham police responded to 151 Sixth Street on Thursday because of an elderly woman who had tripped and fallen. When the officer responded, he met with the womans son, who said she tripped over a raised part of the sidewalk. She was complaining of pain on her right arm, eye, knee, and hip. The womans son took her to Sound Shore Medical Center.
-After receiving a complaint about loud music, Pelham police showed up to Fifth Avenue on Tuesday at 3:10 a.m. The music was coming from a car parked on Fifth Avenue. A police officer was dispatched and the music was lowered.
-An elderly River Avenue man called Pelham police on Tuesday at 8:14 a.m. with trouble breathing. The man told officers he had been struggling to breath for more than an hour. Police gave the man oxygen and he was brought by ambulance to Sound Shore Medical Center.
-Pelham police reported to Lincoln Avenue on Tuesday at 8:58 a.m. for an elderly woman experiencing chest pain. The womans husband told officers that his wife had been having chest pains since waking up earlier that morning. Officers gave the woman oxygen and she was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center by ambulance.
