PELHAM, N.Y. Parents of children entering kindergarten in Pelham in September will be able to register them for school on Monday and Tuesday.
The District Office, which is located on the bottom floor of Pelham Memorial High School, will host registration for eligible kindergarteners who are going to Siwanoy or Prospect Hill elementary schools Monday. Parents of those eligible kindergarteners going to Colonial or Hutchinson elementary schools will be able to register their child on Tuesday.
Children must be 5 years old on or before, Dec. 31 to be eligible for the 2012-2013 school year. Families whose last name begins with A through L will register between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Those whose last names start with M through Z families are asked to sign up between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The child does not need to be present in order to register him or her.
If a parent or guardian cannot make those times, they must make an appointment by calling 914-738-3434 ext. 1211 to register the child.
On both registration days, the Central Office registration clerk and a nurse from the respective school will meet with parents or guardians to collect completed registration forms and identification documents.
