Pelham Alerts Residents of Harrison Robbery

PELHAM, N.Y. – The Pelham government alerted its residents Tuesday at 2:27 p.m. via email of another robbery in Harrison near the train station, which matches the robberies in the village and other surrounding communities.

The crime, which occurred last night, happened to a man walking home from the train station, according to the email.

This is the first robbery since March 28 when a Pelham man was mugged while walking home from the train station. There were two January robberies in Pelham, which prompted many to sign up for the village’s email alerts. In order to sign up for the village alerts, send an email to notices-request@pelhamgov.com with “subscribe” as the subject.

Robberies of a similar nature have also occurred in the village of Mamaroneck, the town of Mamaroneck, Harrison and New Rochelle. Police believe that the crimes are connected.

The government also urged residents to “exercise caution when walking at night, particularly after the rush hour when there are fewer pedestrians on the street” and to call the Pelham Police Department at 738-2000 if they notice a suspicious person or car.
