More Hutchinson River Parkway Closures Coming

PELHAM, N.Y. – All northbound lanes on the Hutchinson River Parkway between exits 13 and 7 will be closed some nights from Wednesday until approximately Sunday, Oct. 16 for road repaving, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

The lanes will be closed from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. during the construction. The workers will pave the roads from Sunday to Thursday, according to the press release.

Exit 13 leads to the Cross County Parkway, while Exit 7 leads to Boston Post Road. Posted detours will direct drivers while the lanes are closed.

An earlier repaving project began in August on southbound lanes on the parkway between exits 15 and 7.

The press release advises caution for drivers travelling on the highway through the work zone during those hours. Traffic control devices, signs and flaggers will assist drivers in the area.

Fines double for those who speed through a work zone. Two such violations could lead to a suspended license.
