PELHAM, N.Y. A new Town Justice will be appointed on Friday by Town Supervisor Peter DiPaola at a special 8:30 a.m. Town Board meeting. The board will be asked to approve the appointment after the name has been announced.
The new Town Justice, who will serve on an interim basis, will be taking over for former Town Justice Stephen Huff. Due to undisclosed medical reasons, Huff resigned after 35 years on the bench.
A special election will be held in November to fill the Town Justice position through 2016. The event will take place at Town Hall.
