Arrest Of Bank Robbery Suspect Tops Pelham News This Week

PELHAM, N.Y. - Here are some of the stories that topped the news in Pelham this week:

Luis Alomar, a fugitive suspected in a string of bank robberies along the Eastern Seaboard, including possibly in Westchester and Fairfield counties, was taken into custody at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in Medford, Long Island, N.Y., the FBI said.
County Executive Rob Astorino is set to kick off the new year with a special open house reception on Jan. 1, and members of the public are invited.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo is reminding Westchester County residents that state and local police will be enforcing distracted driving laws and utilizing sobriety checkpoints to deter drunk driving during the holiday season.
