The transition began with a unanimous vote for the new officers at the full meeting of the board in December and continued at a celebration later that month at the home of James Palmisciano, the new chair of the board of directors.

Palmisciano is the chairman and chief investment officer of Gracie Asset Management. Brian Eccleston, newly elected treasurer for The Picture House, is northeast assurance managing partner at BDO USA.

Ellen Chandler was re-elected board vice chair, and Tracie Cohen was re-elected secretary. Laura deBuys, executive director of The Picture House since January 2014, was named president of the organization. The Picture House will celebrate its tenth birthday as a non-profit organization at events throughout the year and at The 10th!, a festive mid-May birthday party for the organization honoring co-founder Ann Sorice.

At the meeting held at Palmisciano's home, the outgoing board members and founders of the organization, Kathy Corton, Tom Peer and Ann Sorice, as well as Chair Emeritus John Calvelli and longtime board members Thomas Canning and Dale Hisiger were toasted, applauded, and given director’s chairs emblazoned with their names and the Picture House logo.

“I am deeply honored to be stewarding this incredible organization into its second decade,” chair-elect Palmisciano said in his toast. “You had a brilliant vision of what was needed for arts and culture in Westchester and for how a local treasure could be grown to fulfill that need. Ten years later, we are the proud owners of a beautifully renovated 1921 movie theater that is bursting at the seams with great films, artists, and education programs."
