First Look Of New Scorcese Produced Film Set For Pelham Picture House

Patrons can get a first look at a new film produced by Martin Scorcese at The Picture House in Pelham.

"Abundant Acreage Available" will be screening at the Picture House on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. The screening will follow with a discussion with director/writer Angus MacLachlan led by The Picture House’s critic-in-residence Marshall Fine.

"Abundant Acreage Available" is about brother and sister Jesse and Tracy (Terry Kinney and Amy Ryan) attempting to settle into their new lives after their father dies. Their quiet and simple existence is unexpectedly disrupted by the sudden arrival of three mysterious brothers, camping on their land and possessing a surprising connection to their family farm.

The film premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, where the jury awarded it the Best Screenplay in a U.S. Narrative Feature Film prize. The film debuts on Sept. 29. MacLachlan previously wrote the movies "Junebug" and "Stone."
