PELHAM, N.Y. -- A showing of "Wildlike" followed by a Q&A with the film's director, Frank Hall Green, will be presented Thursday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at The Picture House Regional Film Center in Pelham.

Frank Hall Green’s award-winning directorial debut feature "Wildlike" (2015) had its world premiere at the Hamptons Film Festival and has been invited to over 75 film festivals and won 16 Best Film awards.

It was produced by Christine Vachon/Killer Films, Tandem Pictures (Sleepwalker), and Joseph Stephans.

Filmed on 35mm in Alaska, "Wildlike" stars Ella Purnell, Bruce Greenwood, Brian Geraghty, Nolan Gerard Funk, and Ann Dowd.

In this thrilling coming-of-age adventure, a troubled teen must face the dangers of the Alaskan wild, as well as her own past, in order to find her way home.

Sent to stay with her uncle in Alaska while her mother is in treatment, 14-year-old Mackenzie (Ella Purnell) is forced to flee as her uncle’s attention turns threatening.

Unable to reach her mother and afraid that the authorities will return her to her uncle, she embarks on a journey across miles of wilderness to find a way back home to Seattle.

As she plunges deeper into the Alaskan interior, a chance connection with gruff backpacker Bartlett (Bruce Greenwood) proves to be her only lifeline.

Mackenzie shadows Bartlett across the rugged frontier, thwarting his efforts to cut her loose until he has no choice but to help her survive, and against the backdrop of a spectacular landscape, they discover the redemptive power of friendship.

Tickets to the screening and discussion are $12/general admission, $8/members, $10/students and seniors and are available at or at the box office, 175 Wolfs Lane, Pelham, N.Y.

The film will begin at 7:30 p.m.
