Roadwork Alert: Daytime Single-, Double-Lane Closes Scheduled For Sprain Brook Parkway
Motorists can expect delays on a busy stretch of the Sprain Brook Parkway in Westchester during daytime roadwork. The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) says there will be single- and double-lane closures in each direction Tuesday, Sept. 24, through Friday, Sept. 27, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day. The roadwork will be between I-287 in the village of Elmsford and the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Mount Pleasant.

Roadwork is scheduled for a busy stretch of I-684in Northern Westchester. Work has commenced on a multi-million dollar project that will restore a well-used stretch of highway in Westchester, officials announced. In an announcement this week, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said a $32.4 million resurfacing project has started on a 5.5-mile stretch of Interstate 287 (Cross Westchester Expressway) between Westchester Avenue in Harrison and Route 1 in Rye. Traffic on a stretch of a busy Westchester County roadway will be impacted for months as crews perform gas line work, officials announced. The traffic pattern on a busy road near a soon-to-be-opening school in Westchester will be changed to improve conditions for school buses, officials announced.
