Moose On Loose In Region A large moose seems to have made quite a journey over the past few days, with multiple sightings in parts of Fairfield County. Meteorologist Jack Drake shared photos and videos on his Facebook page of a large moose that was spotted at the AMC movie theater in Danbury on Monday, Sept. 26. Drake reported that the moose was also seen in Woodbury and Newtown. Humpback Whale Sighting In Hudson River Near Statue Of Liberty Captured On Video Some New Yorkers had their “Call me Ishmael” moment when a Humpback whale was spotted and caught on camera in the Hudson River near the Statue of Liberty before being followed by other sightings in that area. Photographer Bjoern Kils, who runs the New York Media Boat that tours around New York City, captured a photo of a humpback whale during a trip on Tuesday, Dec. 8, that has since gone viral. Rare Sighting: Man Walking Dog Captures Photos Of Beaver Swimming In Hudson River A New York attorney out for a walk with his dog Hunter was enjoying the view of the Hudson River near West 70th Street in Manhattan when he spotted a fun and rare sight, a beaver out for a swim.
