Target Employee Arrested For Stealing $4K, Police Say An employee was arrested for allegedly ripping off more than $4,000 from a Target store in the area. Stephen F. Garcia, 18, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested around 4 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 3, following an investigation, said Capt. Michael O’Dowd, Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department. According to O'Dowd, police were called to the store at 2001 South Road (Route 9) were store officials told police that Garcia had allegedly stole more than $4,000 over a three-week period. Garcia was charged with felony grand larceny and released on his own recognizance, O'Dowd said.
