A Putnam County Sheriff allegedly observed the driver from Orange County commit a traffic violation on Route 9 in the Town of Philipstown on Thursday, April 4 around 7 p.m. The officer initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as 35-year-old Corey Prentice of Newburgh, according to police. Man Nabbed For Stealing Donation Box At Philipstown Market A man who allegedly stole a donation box from a Putnam market has been arrested The Putnam County Sheriff's Office was informed of a larceny at the Appalachian Market in the Town of Philipstown on Thursday, Jan. 10, and dispatched to the scene to investigate. It was reported that the donation money box, which was for the Putnam County SPCA Police, was stolen from the market the night of Wednesday, Jan. 9.
