A Hudson Valley woman convicted of abandoning dogs faces more charges for failing to update her information on an animal cruelty registry after moving, police announced. Putnam County resident Tammy Williams of Kent, age 46, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 8, and charged with failing to register with the county's Animal Cruelty Registry, the Putnam County SPCA announced. A 19-year-old woman involved with an organized retail theft group faces a heap of charges after stealing around $8,000 worth of products from a Hudson Valley store with a young accomplice, police said. Pair Nabbed For Shoplifting At Carmel ShopRite
A man and woman are facing charges after being busted by prevention personnel attempting to shoplift merchandise from a Putnam County grocery store, officials said. Putnam County Sheriff Capt. Lisa Ortolano announced the arrests of Wingdale residents Matthew Sehrt, 28 and Cynthia Gilroy, 27, who were caught red-handed attempting to steal merchandise from ShopRite on Route 52 in Carmel.
