Serial Murder Case: Suspect's Family Wants Police To Pay For Leaving NY Home 'In Shambles'
The family of suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann is taking legal action against police who they say turned their New York home upside down in their extensive search for evidence in the case. Heuermann’s adult children plan to file a notice of claim for damages against Suffolk County law enforcement, the first step in a potential lawsuit, their attorney Vess Mitev told Daily Voice. “Their valuables were shattered. Gilgo Beach Serial Murders: Key Tip From Witness 12 Years Ago Helps Crack Case
The man accused of killing several women and dumping their bodies on a New York beach in what became known as the Gilgo Beach murders was finally nabbed thanks in large part to a tip from one victim’s roommate that came over a decade ago. Westchester Man Arrested After Reaching Into Sheriff Deputy's Vehicle
A man from Westchester driving with illegal license plates got handsy with a sheriff’s deputy on Long Island during a traffic stop and had to be taken into custody. A Suffolk County Sheriff’s deputy on patrol at approximately 3:18 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14 stopped Mykhaylo Zubatyi, 29, of Yonkers, on North Ocean Avenue in Patchogue, for having suspicious license plates. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a DMV check of Zubatyi’s registration plate showed that it actually belonged to a different vehicle.
