Ex-CT Teacher Accused Of Repeatedly Sexually Assaulting Student: Police
A former Connecticut high school teacher has been accused of sexually assaulting a former student, authorities said. Ciara Picard, 39, was arrested and charged with five counts of sexual assault involving a former student of Maloney High School in Meriden, police announced on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Meriden police did not provide many details about the alleged abuse, but investigators said it happened "years ago" while Picard was still a teacher at the school. Twenty-one people were hospitalized after a school bus carrying Aliquippa Junior High football players crashed on Shaffer Road in Economy Borough, Beaver County EMS said. Student Rides Motorcycle Through Halls Of School In Hudson Valley, Police Say
A student has been arrested for allegedly riding a motorcycle through the halls of a school in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Rockland on Tuesday, May 24 at Ramapo Senior High School. According to police, a student at the school drove an off-road motorcycle through the halls of the school while class was in session.
