11 Charged In Area DWI Detail
Authorities have just announced the results of a special multi-agency holiday DWI detail in Dutchess County. During a Labor Day “High Visibility Engagement Campaign” that was conducted countywide between Saturday, Aug. 21 and Sunday, Sept. 5, police in Dutchess County busted 11 arrested for alleged impaired driving through the region. “The goal of the Labor Day Impaired Driving Crackdown as all other crackdown periods was to discourage people from driving impaired, promote awareness, and keep the roadways safe,” officials said. Labor Day Impaired Driving Crackdown Period Leads To Arrests Of 60 Area Residents
Dozens of drivers were arrested in Dutchess County during an impaired driving crackdown period over Labor Day Weekend. Between Saturday, Aug. 17 and Monday, Sept. 2, state, county and local police agencies throughout Dutchess County conducted details that included sobriety checkpoints and emphasis patrols countywide, as well as their regular patrols. Three Charged In East Fishkill Sobriety Checkpoint
A joint police checkpoint conducted by several Dutchess law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of several area residents who were busted driving with drugs or while impaired over the weekend. Members of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, East Fishkill Police Department and New York State Police troopers conducted the joint sobriety checkpoint, which led to six arrests, three of which were for impaired driving. The checkpoint was held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 on Route 52 in East Fishkill. Police said that during the checkpoint, 1,790 vehicles drove through the area. …

Tickets Issued To Nearly 12,000 In State Police July 4th Details
Thousands of tickets were issued in New York as New York State Police targeted drunk and distracted drivers during the Independence Day holiday. As part of the STOP-DWI Independence Day week-long crackdown, State Police troopers busted thousands of motorists for driving while intoxicated as they attempt to stop motorists from drinking and driving in the area.
