Superintendent To Retire After 25 Years Serving District In Westchester A long-serving superintendent in Westchester has announced that he will soon retire after 25 years with his school district.  Edwin M. Quezada, the superintendent of Yonkers Public Schools, will retire from his position on Monday, July 3, according to an announcement from Wednesday, April 5 by the city's Board of Education President Steve Lopez. Quezada announced his retirement in a letter sent to the board's trustees. Yonkers Schools Merged Football Teams Debut Football fans in Yonkers are getting excited as the newly merged Yonkers Police and Fire Departments football teams have kicked off their inaugural season as schools open.
