James Shaheed, 28, of Poughkeepsie, was removed from life support on Friday, Feb. 8, said City of Poughkeepsie Det. Lt. Matt Clark. An autopsy conducted on Saturday showed he died from a gunshot to the head. A 15-year-old teen has been charged with attempted murder in the shooting of Shaheed and another 41-year-old man who was an innocent bystander. The teen, a City of Poughkeepsie resident, was arrested around 2 p.m. Tuesday by the City of Poughkeepsie Police and is being held in a detention center without bail, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark.
