Rye native Glenn Florio, a member of the 1988 United States Olympic Rowing team in the double scull who won a bronze medal in the 1986 World Rowing Championships in the lightweight single scull died on Monday, Oct. 26 of unknown causes. Rower From Westchester Gets National Attention Rower From Westchester Gets National Attention
Rower From Westchester Gets National Attention Robby Schetlick, a senior at Bronxville High School, received a silver medal on Sunday, June 10 as part of a four-man crew team at the U.S. Rowing Youth National Championships. Schetlick, who competed in the A finals of the Men's Varsity Quad (4x) with the GMS Rowing Center of New Milford, CT, plans to row at the University of Virginia in the fall.
