Man, Teen Charged In Death Of Man Found Lying On Roadside In Hudson Valley A 38-year-old area man and a 17-year-old have been charged with alleged manslaughter in connection with the death of another man who was found dead lying on the side of a roadway. Ulster County resident Joseph Karolys, of the town of Saugerties, and the teen, were arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 22 for the Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 death of David "Mickey" Myer, age 66, also of Saugerties. 'Erratic' Hudson Valley Driver Was 3 Times Legal Limit, Police Say A drunk driver who was busted in the region had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit to operate a vehicle, authorities said. In Ulster County, Saugerties Police were called just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, with reports of an erratic driver on Route 212 near Route 32. Officers located the vehicle a short time later in the parking lot of a Speedway gas station, Saugerties police said.
