Safety Measures To Be Put In Place At Westchester Intersection Where Mother, Son Were Killed Following a tragic crash that left a mother and son dead after they were struck by a school bus, several new safety measures will be implemented on the Westchester roadway where the incident happened. Road Improvements Begin In Wappinger A project involving a series of road improvements in the Wappinger area is officially underway, and the Dutchess County Department of Public Works (DPW) cites it as one of the largest road improvement projects of the year.
