Peekskill resident Omar Miles has been sentenced to 24 years in state prison after being found guilty in September of three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He had faced 36 years in prison. While on parole in October last year, Miles sold cocaine on three different occasions in Putnam. Lake Peekskill Man With Six Prior Felonies Convicted Of Drug Dealing A Putnam County man with six prior felony convictions for drugs has been convicted again on three counts of sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession. Omar Miles of Lake Peekskill was convicted Tuesday by a jury on the felony counts and faces a maximum of 36 years in state prison, said the Putnam County District Attorney's Office. “This was a great collaborative effort involving the District Attorney’s Office, the Sheriff’s office, the Narcotics Enforcement Unit, Putnam Corrections, and the NYS Police Crime Lab.” District Attorney Robert V.
