On Thursday, Sept. 11, officers from the New Windsor Police Department, FBI Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force, City of Newburgh Police, Town of Newburgh Police, and Orange County District Attorney investigators executed search warrants at two locations: Old Forge Hill Apartments in New Windsor and a residence on Broadway in Newburgh, New Windsor Police announced on Friday, Sept. 12.

Two people, including a Capital Region resident, are behind bars after a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County led to the discovery of a stolen, loaded handgun, police said.
The stop happened around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, in Pleasant Valley, when troopers pulled over a vehicle traveling northbound in violation of state traffic law, New York State Police said on Wednesday, Sept. 10.

A convicted felon and wanted parole absconder was arrested in Dutchess County after being spotted during an overnight patrol aimed at curbing drug activity, police announced.
Officers patrolling near Main and Rose Streets in Poughkeepsie at around 12:06 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, recognized 31-year-old Harold Bruno, who they knew to be a wanted parole absconder, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department said on Thursday, July 10.
