Police cited three businesses in a Westchester County village after they were caught selling tobacco products and alcohol to minors, authorities said. The citations followed compliance checks carried out on Friday, May 29, by the Croton-on-Hudson Police Department at 15 local businesses, the department announced on Friday, June 5. An investigation is underway after a police department employee in Westchester County was allegedly seen on video striking a minor, authorities said. An Ulster County man faces multiple charges after an investigation into sexual misconduct with a minor led to a police raid, authorities said. The arrest happened on Wednesday, July 30, when New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Kingston took 42-year-old James M. A former Mormon missionary who fled trial after allegedly sexually abusing 14 boys in Tonga was arrested in Pennsylvania, the U.S. Department of Justice announced on Thursday, July 24.
