HS Athlete Who Died After Falling Through Ice In Hudson Valley Remembered For 'Amazing Smile'
A teen who died after falling through the ice at a park in the Hudson Valley is being remembered for his "amazing smile," and " infectious laughter."
Dutchess County resident Noah Michael Thompson, age 17, of Amenia, died Friday, Feb. 10, at Sharon Hospital in Litchfield County, Connecticut, after falling through the ice at the Taconic State Park in the village of Millerton, located in the Town of North East.
Noah was a high school student at Webutuck High School in Amenia and was expecting to graduate this spring, according to his obituary.

IDs Released For Victims Of Double-Fatal Hudson Valley Fire
The identities have been released for two people who were killed in a massive Hudson Valley fire.
Dutchess County residents Jenny Yang, age 24, and Wangdi Tamang, age 30, bother of Millerton, were killed around 8 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, when they could not escape a house fire on Route 22, said the New York State Police.
When Troopers arrived, the house was engulfed in flames and told there were possibly two people still inside, state police said.

Woman, Man Killed In Separate Area Crashes
Two separate fatal crashes that occurred over the weekend in the area are under investigation.
The first crash took place around 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5, on Route 82, near Clove Branch Road in East Fishkill, said Dutchess County Sheriff's Office Capt. John Watterson.
That investigation revealed that Jenna A. Wilkins, 24, of Hopewell Junction, was walking northbound on an unlit portion of Route 82 when she was struck by a 2007 Hyundai SUV, Watterson said.
Wilkins suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

On Friday, April 12, State Police from Poughkeepsie arrested Sharon Y. Eady, 52, of Poughkeepsie, for Aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, a felony. She was traveling on Church Street in Poughkeepsie, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
