Over 1K Grams Of Fentanyl Seized In Taconic Traffic Stop In NY: Police
A Bronx man was arrested in Dutchess County after troopers allegedly found more than a kilogram of fentanyl during a routine traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway, authorities said.
The stop happened around 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, in the town of East Fishkill, New York State Police said on Thursday, July 10.
There, troopers pulled over a Toyota Camry traveling northbound for multiple traffic violations. The driver, identified as Carmelo Arroyo Miranda, age 36, of the Bronx, was the only person in the vehicle, according to authorities.

Two men were arrested after a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County led to police finding nearly 200 bags of fentanyl and other narcotics inside their vehicle, authorities announced.
The stop happened on Wednesday, May 14, in East Fishkill, when troopers pulled over a 2021 Jeep traveling northbound on the parkway for multiple traffic violations, New York State Police said.
The vehicle’s occupants were identified as Julio C. Tejada, age 41, and Michael Barnes, age 45, both residents of New York City.

A stop by Connecticut State troopers of a vehicle for not having a visible license plate on I-84 led to the arrest of a Fairfield County man for possession of drugs with the help of a K-9 officer.
Natanel Collado, 32, of Danbury, was arrested around 2:45 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 21, after troopers stopped his vehicle on I-84 in Danbury, state police said.
When questioned, alleged inconsistencies in Collado's responses prompted troopers to conduct a search, during which they found 57 Clonazepam pills and a digital scale, state police said.
