A new housing complex offering more than two dozen affordable apartments has officially opened in Northern Westchester, officials announced.
Maple Commons, an $18 million all-electric development on Maple Street in Croton-on-Hudson, was completed as part of Gov. Kathy Hochul’s statewide housing initiative, which aims to create or preserve 100,000 affordable homes across New York, Hochul announced on Thursday, Feb. 20.

Steven Bannon Set To Report To Danbury Prison To Serve Sentence
Steve Bannon, a once trusted strategist to former President Donald Trump, is set to report to prison Monday, July 1, in Fairfield County.
Bannon, a conservative podcaster, is set to begin a four-month sentence at the federal prison in Danbury for defying a congressional subpoena that was investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots.
The 70-year-old had turned to the US Supreme Court to avoid reporting to prison. That request was denied on Friday, June 28, by the court.
