Incumbent Democratic US Rep. Jamaal Bowman trounced Republican challenger Miriam Levitt Flisser to once again represent New York's 16th congressional district, which includes much of Westchester County. Students Call For Action In Latest Rally Against Gun Violence In Putnam
Putnam County students said “enough” to gun violence in America, rallying at the old Putnam County Courthouse for several hours over the weekend calling on stricter gun laws. Nineteen years and one day after the fatal shooting at Columbine High School, more than a dozen students and community members rallied at the courthouse to “prove that students will not lose interest, we will not give up, and we will fight (until) change happens,” according to student organizers.
