Driver For Taconic Biosciences Killed In Crash At Loading Dock A driver for Taconic Biosciences was killed by an errant tractor-trailer at the company's loading dock, according to New York State Police.  When police were dispatched in Columbia County to Taconic Biosciences in Germantown at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, fire crews were already attempting to assist the victim at the scene.  Matthew T. Two-Alarm Blaze Heavily Damages Home, Injures Firefighter In Area One firefighter was injured in a massive, two-alarm blaze that heavily damaged a single-family home in Red Hook and sent the homeowner to the hospital for anxiety-related issues. Red Hook firefighters responded to a report of smoke around 11:30 p.m. Sunday at 36 Spencer Drive, according to Red Hook Asst. Chief Shawn Ball.
