Man Shot During Westchester Burglary, Police Say An alleged burglar was shot in the hand while attempting to rob a basement apartment in New Rochelle on Monday morning, police said. The New Rochelle Police Department received a report shortly after 12:45 a.m. on Monday, July 2, of a robbery at a Main Street apartment, and that one of the suspects involved had suffered a gunshot wound.
