A major blaze has left a Dutchess County firehouse severely damaged and temporarily out of commission, fire officials said. SUV Crashes Into Local Firehouse In Hudson Valley
Police in the Hudson Valley are investigating after a woman drove an SUV into the front of a firehouse. The incident took place in Orange County around 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the village of Chester on Main Street near Route 94. The woman, whose license was suspended, was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, the village of Chester Police said. Mount Kisco Firehouse Estimates Off By Millions
A paperwork snafu is expected has led to ballooning construction costs for a renovation and expansion of a Mount Kisco firehouse. The architectural firm that was hired for the Green Street firehouse was nearly 4,000-square-feet off in measuring the area, making their estimated cost for the renovation short by approximately $1.6 million.
