School District In Northern Westchester Names New Superintendent
A veteran educator in the region is heading south to lead a Northern Westchester school district. The Croton-Harmon Union Free School District announced that it has unanimously approved a multi-year contract for Stephen Walker to take over for current superintendent Deborah O’Connell, who is retiring in January. An educator who has experience from coast to coast has been tapped as the new superintendent for one of downstate New York's largest school districts. Judith Johnson, Longtime Hudson Valley Educator, Dies
Former New York State Education Department Regent and prominent Hudson Valley educator Judith Johnson has died. During her career, Johnson, 80, spent time serving as the Deputy Assistant Secretary and Acting Assistant Secretary for Education under President Bill Clinton and spent decades educating students in the Hudson Valley.
