Pleasant Valley Town Clerk Stole $27K In Funds, Dutchess DA Says The Pleasant Valley Town Clerk has been charged with grand larceny for stealing funds from the town over a four year time period, according to Dutchess County District Attorney William Grady. Margaret Hart was also charged Monday with two counts of official misconduct, he added. "It is alleged that during the course of approximately four years (2012-2016), Hart, 57, stole over $27,000 from funds collected by the Town Clerk's Office for various fees," Grady said.
