Stretch Of Road Near School In Cortlandt Closed After Water Main Break A stretch of road near a middle school in Northern Westchester is closed to traffic thanks to a water main break.  Watch Hill Road from Furnace Dock Road to Furnace Woods Road in the town of Cortlandt is closed as crews repair the break, Cortlandt officials announced on Friday, Jan. 24 just before 8 a.m.  The area is near Blue Mountain Middle School. Part Of Busy Putnam County Roadway To Close For Months: Here's Where Part of a well-traveled Hudson Valley road near its intersection with a busy highway will close for several weeks as crews replace a culvert, officials announced.  Beginning on Monday, July 15, part of Route 311 in the Putnam County town of Patterson will close between the Interstate 84 Exit 61 on and off ramps and Ludingtonville Road (Route 43), according to the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services. Ramp Closure: Route Between I-684, I-287 In Westchester To Be Affected A ramp carrying traffic between two busy highways in Westchester will soon be affected by an upcoming closure. The closure will affect the ramp between Exit 1 on I-684 and I-287 in Harrison from Friday, Aug. 4 to Saturday, Aug. 5, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.  The traffic interruption will last from 10 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Saturday morning, officials added.  The closure is to allow for ramp maintenance. Commuters should use the posted detour to Westchester Avenue as an alternate route.

Busy Highway Exit In Westchester Closes For Paving An exit ramp on a much-used Westchester highway will close soon to allow for roadwork.  The I-287 westbound ramp to Exit 2 ((State Route 9A) in Elmsford will close on Friday, Oct. 21, at 6 a.m., and reopen on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 6 a.m., according to the New York Department of Transportation.  The closure is to allow for roadway paving work to be completed.  Commuters will be able to take a detour using Exit 1 (Route 119) to Route 9A as an alternate route, officials said.

Travel Advisory Issued For Westchester There will be temporary overnight lane closures for several days on a busy Westchester highway. The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert cautioning motorists that there will be closures in both directions on Route 9A in the Towns of Greenburgh and Mount Pleasant.
