Gang Member In Westchester Sentenced For Conspiracy To Murder Witnesses
The last of five members of the G-Shine Bloods gang members and associates have been sentenced for his role in a conspiracy to murder an eyewitness to a shooting, Westchester County District Attorney Mimi Rocah announced. Between August 2018 and March 2019, Rocah said that gang members conspired to silence a witness who set to testify against them in regards to a shooting outside the Garden Bar & Grill in Mount Vernon in 2016. Trial Starts For Westchester Gang Member Who Allegedly Ordered Shooting Witness Be Killed
The trial for a high-ranking gang member connected to a 2016 shooting who attempted to have an eye witness killed is beginning. Jason Garcia - also known as “G-shine” and “Mecca-J” - a high ranking member of the Bloods Gang, allegedly conspired with four others, some of whom were also already in jail, to track down and kill the eyewitness, who they found through social media. Inmate Admits Attacking Officer At Correctional Facility In Area
An inmate at an area correctional facility has pleaded guilty for assaulting an officer. Vernon Mingo, 39, admitted that he assaulted Correction Officer Jennifer Hayden at Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville on April 24, 2018, Dutchess County District Attorney William Grady said He is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday, Oct. 31, and is expected to receive a sentence of two to four years in state prison to run consecutively with his current sentence, the DA said. “Correctional officers have very difficult and dangerous jobs," said Grady. A Mount Vernon is facing decades in prison after pleading guilty to a rash of robberies where he threatened drivers and robbed them of cash and personal items after arriving at their drop-off location. Geoffrey Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District, announced this week that Allanmon Mavumkal, 30, pleaded guilty in Manhattan Federal Court to four counts of Hobbs Act robbery in connection to a spree that began in the Bronx last year.
