New York State Police have released new details — and dramatic video — from a fiery crash on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Rockland County that nearly cost a driver his life. The crash happened around 4:40 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, near Exit 12 in Ramapo, as Daily Voice previously reported. Troopers said on Wednesday, Sept. 17, that the driver of a Subaru Crosstrek struck a deer while traveling northbound, lost control, and slammed into a tree in the center median. HS Sophomore ID'd After Deer Smashes Through Car Windshield After Bouncing Off Fleeing Car
Kevin Donohue, a sophomore at Malvern Preparatory School, was killed after a deer smashed through the windshield of a car on Route 322 in West Bradford Township, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Tuesday, Sept. 2. The crash happened around 7 a.m. on Route 322 (Downingtown Pike), east of Romig Road, police said. Investigators determined that a vehicle traveling east hit a deer, sending the animal airborne into the westbound lane. Deer Hits Bicyclist During Popular Road Race In Area
A woman suffered a broken arm and leg after being hit by a deer while participating in a popular road race in the area. Caroline Lepage, 48, of Quebec, was hit about 10 a.m., Sunday, May 19, while riding her bike northbound during the annual Gran Fondo Race on Route 9W near Boulderberg Road in Tomkins Cove, said Stony Point Police Lt.
