Parking Restrictions, Lane Closures Announced For Road Resurfacing In Northern Westchester
A milling and paving project will lead to road closures and parking restrictions in Croton-on-Hudson for several days. Milling and resurfacing on Hillside Avenue, Prospect Place and High Street is scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8. Police said that cars should be removed from those roadways before work begins, or else they risk being towed or ticketed. The milling is expected to be completed by Monday night, with asphalt paving beginning the following morning, weather permitted. Hydrant-Flushing May Lead To Discolored Water In Croton-On-Hudson
Some Cortlandt residents may soon see some slight discoloration in their water as the Croton-on-Hudson Water Department prepares for its semi-annual hydrant flushing program. Beginning on Oct. 1, flushing will be performed from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. each weekday, and is expected to conclude after approximately four weeks. The Water Department will begin the flushing program at the Village well field on Route 129.
