2-Car Crash Causes Fluid Spill On Busy Hudson Valley Road A two-car crash in the Hudson Valley caused a temporary closure on a busy road to allow crews to clean a fluid spill.  The crash happened in Putnam County on Friday, Feb. 23 just before 8 p.m., when two cars collided on Croton Falls Road in Carmel, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. Luckily, no injuries resulted from the collision, fire officials said. The crash caused the road to close for around 30 minutes to allow crews to clean up vehicle fluids and remove the cars.

Hit-Run Victim Chases Suspect From Jefferson Valley Until Cops Arrive, Police Say A Northern Westchester man who tried driving away after rear-ending a car was instead arrested after the victim refused to let him escape and gave chase, police said.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Sunday, April 2 around 4:30 p.m., when two vehicles were involved in a rear-end accident in Carmel at the intersection of Route 6 and Croton Falls Road and one of the vehicles tried to leave the scene, according to Carmel Police.  The second vehicle then began to chase the escaping car for around two miles until Carmel Police officers were able to catch up to them on Colonia…

Hudson Valley Man Charged With Vehicular Manslaughter While Driving Drunk, Police Say A man has been charged with vehicular manslaughter after crashing a Chevrolet Corvette and killing a 37-year-old woman while allegedly drunk. The Putnam County crash took place around 11 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22 in Carmel on Croton Falls Road near McLaughlin Drive.  According to Lt. Barn Fire Breaks Out In Carmel Without any water supply, more than a dozen fire departments worked hauling water for hours to put out a blazing fire at a Carmel barn. The fire started around 3:35 a.m. at the barn on Croton Falls Road located near the border with Croton Falls and with North Salem and Somers, said Croton Falls Fire Chief Daniel Dreyer. When firefighters arrived on scene they found a huge fire, sending flames into the air.
